Karing for Kinsley Fundraiser Shirt

This shirt fundraiser is to help support Wesley and Tiffany Bouknight as they navigate Kinsley’s medical journey.  Each shirt will come to $25 with tax and the family will get $20 of every shirt purchased!

Kinsley’s journey started on May 26th after an abnormal brain MRI. She had a seizure on Memorial Day and was admitted to PRISMA Richland for a week, they did a 24 hour EEG which records your brain activity to see if they could capture a seizure. They didn’t capture any true seizure activity but it did show abnormal signals and slowness on her right side where this abnormal area is located. She had four more seizures between then and July 6. She had another MRI at MUSC on July 19 at MUSC which showed that the abnormal area was stable but had not shrunk like they wanted so she was admitted to MUSC to wean off her Keppra and do another EEG to see if they could capture a seizure to see if it was coming from this area and they would make a surgical decision based off of that. The EEG didn’t capture any seizure activity just the abnormal signals and slowness on the right side like the last EEG. So they discharged us after a week and want us to follow up in three months. We are not ok with waiting and are going to see a second opinion! We are awaiting an appointment with Boston Children’s Neurology and Neurosurgery team. They are ranked #1 in the U.S for Pediatric Neurosurgery and Neurology. I sent all of Kinsley’s records last week and am waiting to hear back when they can schedule us so we can see them together.  – Tiffany Bouknight
